My friend who lives in Oncan brought me here as a birthday treat (I am visiting from the the mainland) both of us celebrating a significant birthday this year. We both ordered the Marocam lamb wrap- it came with the most delicious home made chips and side salad. The lamb melted in the mouth. They have a drinks licence so I could partake in a glass of wine and my friend a coca-cola. We had a lovely surprise of 2 victoria sponge cakes, complimentary of the chef. Compliments to the chef and the 2 lovely young waitresses who made our first but not last visit so enjoyable.
A little different to your typical restaurant setting - a slightly unusual and quirky dining room with it's brightly coloured furnishings and colourful LED lighting. It has a bit of a canteen feel to it but don't let that put you off, it's all part of what makes it a bit different.
The staff were welcoming and attentive and clearly passionate about what they do.
We visited on a Sunday as we fancied a roast but the regular menu's which are served the rest of the week also looked great.
All of the food was excellent, well cooked and presented - we felt it was good value for money.
We will definately be back.
Today I discovered Babbage's. What a surprising gem of a place.

Friendly staff who are happy to help in any way they can all with a genuine warm smile too. I'll be visiting again, and can definitely recommend.
